The Opportunity

Proactive, engaged, responsible Board member and legal Director

Enhance the financial competence in the way the business in run

•Financial leadership role in tenders and negotiations.

•Provide pricing and margin intelligence.

•Proactive management of debtor and commercial risks.

•Purchasing intelligently from a group perspective.

Be a proactive and reliable cash manager and forecaster.

Assess and get the finance team right.

Empower, inspire and coach people to be the best they can be.

Raise finance function above the day-to-day operational transactions to be able to field information requests which support the running of the business and its decision making.

Financial / business education of non-financial colleagues where you can add value, equipping them with the commercial acumen to make better informed, more considered decisions.

Purchasing is done by each division with no centralised control, checks or balances. Implement appropriate group level oversight.

Strategic thinking and delivery support.

See the challenges in advance and proactively mitigate risk and solve problems.

See the opportunities in advance and proactive seek to exploit them with appropriate due diligence.

Joint execution of business development projects, e.g. property, acquisition and merger, capital expenditure, technology, restructuring, business process improvements.
