An opportunity to develop an international manufacturing business

Our client designs and manufactures automotive subsystems for an enviable list of international customers. They supply a broad range of products all of which are highly specified and engineered.

The UK forms an important part of the Group and with further planned investment, the next stages of development will allow them to extend their offering to a broader range of customers. This investment now creates the need to appoint a new Managing Director to lead and grow the UK business.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded organisation and lead the next stages of growth.

Role:

  • Lead and develop the UK team to improve delivery and performance
  • Collaborate with group functions to develop the product range
  • Work with Business Development functions to support new customers
  • Ensure the UK business is represented within the Group

Person:

  • Strong commercial background in automotive products market
  • 8-10 years senior management experience within a comparable business
  • Proven senior management experience preferably with a commercial or supply chain background
  • Strong leader, with demonstrable track record of growing and developing a business or unit
  • ‘Hands on’ operator with evidence of strong leadership and personal authority, as well as communication and people management skills
