Our Client is a major specialist insurance group, established for well over a century. They are currently going through a very significant period of re-invention where they are looking to create a unique and purpose-led financial services business. They have set themselves ambitious goals to grow and transform their business and, to enable this to happen, create a dynamic and agile delivery culture.
As part of this they have a major group-wide transformation programme underway and are looking for someone, on an interim basis, to oversee this group-wide programme of change as well as directly lead selected key parts of it. They are looking to transform a number of their businesses, as well as the way they enact change within that business, transitioning from existing ways of operating and delivering change to a series of faster agile deliveries. The focus is to be on driving business outcomes from a combination of process change, technology tools and business simplification.
This role will take the lead on all of the above, combining front-line delivery, business thinking and cultural change with a group-wide remit at a senior level in an organisation that is looking to make a difference. Initially for 9 to 12 months, with most likely 3 days a week in the office, the role will report to the COO.
To be considered for the role, please ensure you can demonstrate the following:
- A track record of successfully shaping, overseeing and delivering transformational business change within insurance (but relevant financial service may be considered) at the most senior level
- Experience of creating an agile and dynamic delivery environment
- Overseen major systems/business transformations
- An understanding and appreciation of the commercial trade-offs that sit behind the key decisions that need to be made in a general insurance business
- The experience to challenge and influence senior stakeholders and create a positive change environment with a focus on business value
- A desire to make a difference, both within the organisation and more broadly
- Available to start within 3 to 4 weeks maximum
