My global manufacturing client are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to lead their UK spend c. £20mil (predominantly raw materials, energy and freight).

Description

The West Midlands based Procurement Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage the strategic procurement of all raw materials, packaging and consumables across a multi-site manufacturing operation, ensuring full availability to meet customer requirements whilst minimising costs and working capital in line with financial and strategic targets
• Develop, maintain and execute a continuous improvement plan for purchasing which minimises stock holding, redundancy, wastage, costs and out of stocks
• Negotiate contracts of supply that provide the best procurement and logistics outcomes to ensure material availability, customer satisfaction and cost competitiveness
• Work with the commercial and technical teams to deliver industry leading innovation development, securing sustainable and competitive supply of raw materials
• Manage and develop the logistical division and third party storage for optimum performance and cost

Profile

The successful candidate will have strong bulk materials (container shipping) procurement experience, gained within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

International procurement experience would be highly advantageous, alongside experience of managing a complex supply base within directs and indirects (300+ suppliers!)

CIPS would be highly advantageous, alongside a degree level qualification.

Job Offer

The successful candidate for this Procurement Manager role will be offered c. £60,000 plus package.

In addition. the role will offer hybrid working once probation is passed.
