This leading manufacturer develop an array of specialist products & are looking to invest in their site & their operational efficiency. As the Project Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in leading large scale capital investment projects.

Description

As the Project Engineering Manager you will be executing the site CAPEX plan during an unprecedented amount of growth & investment. You will manage the introduction of new equipment, processes & services through improvement & capital investment projects.

You will also be responsible for:

• Maintain existing plant, equipment and site services & to propose improvements and capital investments which enhance capabilities and improve profit.
• Identify and project manage the introduction and commissioning of equipment and processes through involvement in new product development activities or Lean activities.
• Identify essential equipment or process improvements in conjunction with the Production Operations Manager and to project manage from data acquisition through to implementation.
• Play a vital support role in EHS matters, (eg Compliance Manual) and to take on responsibility as required.
• Ensure project activities meet Company requirements for quality management, EHS, external legislation and general duty of care and best practice.
• Maintain and develop a team of suitably skilled and motivated staff through recruitment and training & development.
• Oversee project work offering guidance and support to those responsible for the management of the project.
• Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information to the Site Leader and others within agreed formats and timescales.
• Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions and managers necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
• Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
• To continuously work with colleagues, providing consistent communication and allowing for opinions to ensure that the best decisions are made for the Business.
• Embrace and participate in initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings to the business.

Profile

An Engineering Manager with extensive manufacturing project experience within a chemical, pharmaceutical or liquid processing FMCG setting & the following:

• Ideally a degree, in a science/engineering discipline
• Preferably comprehensive knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance with knowledge of electrical/systems controls
• Project management experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance in a multi-functional environment
• Excellent communication skills & the ability to lead a team

Job Offer

Circa £70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus
