An opportunity to build on the early success of a proven developing SaaS business

Since 2006, our client has been keeping clients’ workforces safe, assets secure and organisations resilient through technology and services. Focused on the Energy & Industrial sector, but applicable to all sectors they provide Prepare, Manage, Monitor and Response services for employees in hazardous and high-risk environments. With over 15 years of experience maximizing safety and security procedures for their clients, they occupy a unique position through its expertise in the field.

With further planned investment, the next stages of development will allow them to extend their offering to a broader range of customers. This investment now creates the need to appoint a new Chief Technology Officer to set a vision, lead, and grow the engineering function.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, exciting business and lead the next stages of technology development. Our client are looking for an ambitious, experienced CTO to lead the efforts of development of their Platform. This role will create high-performing teams within the business.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership and set a technology vision for the company and its products
  • Design, organise and evolve existing and future engineering team for scale and fast paced development.
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure total alignment between product and engineering.
  • Deliver the platform in line with the set product and technology vision.
  • Establish a world-class process in engineering for onboarding, support and maintenance of the platform.
  • Act as an externally facing technology ambassador in the sector.
  • Transform engineering to be complaint with various standards and to deliver on secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in ultra-high paced environments and make good decisions with limited information in a start-up.
  • SaaS/Tech Background - you must have proven experience working in the technology/software space, ideally with some experience working in the SaaS/Cloud environment.
  • Experience as a CTO, Technical Director or similar position.
  • Experience in leading a company through growth and/ or worked in a scale up that has overseen rapid growth.
