A new role for a commercially focused procurement manager has arisen at a London based national housing authority. This role reports into the Head of Contract Management, the role is responsible for the strategic development and management of the procurement. You'll being ensuring we are contributing towards our Value for Money objective.

Description

Procurement Manager FM

  • Full end to end OJEU tendering.
  • Designing and implementing the procurement process.
  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and contractors.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and contractors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers to ensure on-going value for money.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Approving purchase orders and organising and confirming delivery of goods and services.
  • Working with our internal teams to ensure onboarding takes place in line with legislation and policy.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
  • Preparing procurement reports for board as required.

Profile

  • Experience using procurement management software preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts & frameworks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Strong awareness of Supply Chain management and operations.
  • The ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships.
  • The ability to think strategically.
  • A proven track record of delivering new solutions that deliver tangible benefits.
  • The ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
