McCabe and Barton are partnering with an outstanding progressive challenger bank to hire an exceptional Head of Testing position. This successful applicant will be responsible for the overall Test Governance and Quality Gateway for software testing within the bank across all test phases in the Software development lifecycle.

The role holder will be Accountable for all functional & non-functional test phases across the SDLC; integration, system, cross browser, UAT, performance and implementation testing

This is a 3 month contract position with the opportunity and potential to go permanent.

Skills and experience needed for this role:

  • Exceptional knowledge and experience in performance testing
  • Strong knowledge of best practices on software testing tools & methods
  • Experience of UAT Test Management including UAT activities, roadmaps, suppliers and plans.
  • Experienced in managing testing within a distributed architecture environment and implementing appropriate test methods & test phases
  • Proven track record of developing robust strategic plans to continuously improve and mature the testing process
  • Qualified to ISTQB advanced level Test Management
  • Experience in lending, banking or financial services industry and familiarity with the supporting systems
  • Experience with managing outsourced development
  • Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills and be an expert in presenting ideas in business-friendly language
  • Naturally able to drive multiple parties & suppliers to ensure delivery of projects has had adequate quality insurance
  • Ability to manage aggressive timelines and workload requirements
