GRG Executive Search have been appointed by a UK Wide IT Services company to find a Head of Supplier Management to lead a key strategic part of their company portfolio, supporting a variety of internal and external stakeholders, to further strengthen and develop the business.

The Head of Supplier Management will have extensive experience of working in a regulated Operational Environment demonstrating a natural ability for setting the strategy, ensuring the team is structured for success with the right people and capabilities while meeting performance measures and demonstrating financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for the delivery of operational KPI's & SLA's that are delivered via suppliers and partners including any performance recovery/improvement plans.
  • Accountable for the contractual management and governance oversight of our in-life suppliers and partners, including informing the ongoing supplier roadmap and commercial frameworks.
  • Champion a customer centric "Customer first" culture through driving collaborative conversations that bring the end-to-end supply chain together under a 'single service' agenda.
  • Accountable for the build, governance and spend of supplier related Operational budgets.
  • Ownership over the contractual roadmap for all suppliers across the service ensuing alignment across the Commercial, programs and finance teams.
  • Accountable for identifying and co-ordinating Operational Strategic initiatives including Continuous Improvement, Optimisation and Transformation opportunities.
  • Representing Supplier Delivery Management team in any internal and external forums.
  • Being responsible for owning and driving the culture and people strategy through being part of both the Supplier Delivery Management leadership team and wider Operations leadership team.
  • Creating and owning collaborative relationship across the wider organisation Matrix of the business, but specifically with Commercial, SRM, Finance and Programme teams.
  • Responsible for risk and issue management ensure robust mitigation plans are in place with clear governance and monitoring in place.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in working with established methodologies and project life cycles from within a regulated environment.
  • Significant experience of supplier relationship management and utilisation of recognised supplier management governance frameworks.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining collaborative and partnership-based relationships with service suppliers.
  • Knowledge of commercial methods and approaches (CIPS).
  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment and the working practices that come with this approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate up to board level.
  • Client focused, with strong communication skills, relationship management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in transforming business units through utilising a continuous improvement methodology.
  • Proven thought leadership with the ability to lead, develop and manage others. Motivating and holding team accountable for delivering results.

The role is new to the structure and is a permanent opportunity paying up to GBP100k + 10% car allowance and 20% bonus + benefits, the company have sites across the UK, and they are currently operating a hybrid working pattern and will require travel to visit suppliers as and when needed.
