Working with a reputable, award-winning organisation that has been established for over a decade and are on a mission to provide marketing and development services to clients working in the online gaming industry. As Head of Tech, you will set the tech vision and roadmap, inheriting a semi-mature product development team with the goal of taking them to the next level. Leadership, technical skills, achievements and growth are the four qualities which are needed to ensure you are successful as the Head of Technology.

The Role
  • Lead the technology team to continue the planning, development and implementation of the roadmap, including timely decommissioning of our legacy systems and the creation and transition to a sustainable architecture, based on best practice
  • Own the planning and prioritising of resources across the Technology team.
  • Work collaboratively with the stakeholders.
  • Further develop our capability, processes and team structures in managing change, agile software development and rapid deployment, cyber security, data management and service management
  • Ensure that a clear vision and delivery plan for our technology services is communicated to all staff.
  • Ensure teams are well-balanced and have (or to have access to) the correct skills to succeed.
  • Accountable for the technical assurance inhouse solutions and the solutions and services from outsourced suppliers and contractors
  • Provide overall technical leadership and direction to the organisation.
  • Role model our values and lead the development of our culture in your team

  • 15+ years of experience with a 4+ years in a management position
  • Previous experience in a senior software engineering role (preferably architect level)
  • A track record of running a technology organisation of >20 people
  • A track record of developing technology strategies aligned with business objectives and following through with exceptional planning and tactical execution
  • Still remains hands-on with technology on some level
  • Equally strong in people management and organisational structure as in technology.
  • Able to identify gaps, weaknesses and risks on all levels of the technology organisation.
  • Frequent use of data when making decisions
  • A good balance of high-standards, detail-orientation and pragmatism
  • Doesn't sacrifice long-term value for short-term results
  • Ability to balance competing interests across often divergent requirements
