Senior Project Manager- Agile, Cloud, Infrastructure
Location: UK Based - Hybrid role 1 to 2 days a month onsite required in either the Leeds, Manchester, London, and Edinburgh office

We are actively looking to secure a Senior Project Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will join a large team working with a major UK banking client, supporting them in their evolution of their Private Cloud Environment. Strong governance skills will be required to ensure successful outcomes are met to achieve Business objectives.

You will be responsible for ensuring project delivery and governance of the activities for the life cycle of the project in accordance with the overall project schedule. You will be reporting directly to a Programme Manager or a Programme Director and will be responsible for direction and leadership of all activities.

Some travel to Client sites will be required to support collaborative working, however most tasks will be performed by remote working.

Responsibilities

  • Manage portfolio of complex initiatives that span over one or multiple lines.
  • Providing on-site leadership. Managing all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure overall program is aligned and supports the achievement
  • Report on project success criteria, metrics, test and deployment and management activities
  • Monitor staff performance and provide status on projects milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and communicating across all leadership
  • Be able to manage day-to-day project activities, procure resources to achieve project objectives and prepare estimates on all the phases on the project.
  • Be able to demonstrate a functional acumen, be able to assist in conflict resolution and coach and motivate the team.
  • Support formal/informal schedules, tasks, and other tasks on hand
  • Able to identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project, stakeholders, sponsors.

Key Skills

  • Senior Project Manager who has experience leading on complex projects
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget
  • Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC/Waterfall
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organisations
  • Experience in negotiating vendor contracts, influencing, and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, leading and motivating teams.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, ServiceNow.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
