Our client is a high growth Professional Services / Consulting company HQ'd in London and with offices in the US and Asia.  Currently employing 120 people globally and expanding rapidly, the company enjoyed a record year in 2021/22 with significant double digit growth and a doubling of its EBITDA.  With significant growth expected to continue over the next 3-5 years, our client is now investing heavily in its technology to ensure they have a competitive advantage over their competitors.  As part of this investment, Directorbank is leading the search for a high calibre, high energy IT Director to lead this investment in its technology infrastructure.


The IT Director will be accountable for all aspects of the company’s technology operations, platforms and infrastructure.  This is a senior role and accordingly you will be a member of the Senior Management Team. As with other senior staff, this role in the business is ‘hands on’ and will oversee management of a small team.  The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Review the current IT strategy, including infrastructure, hardware, software, VC platforms and third party suppliers
  • Execute the agreed IT strategy across global offices to ensure consistency, efficiency, reliability and innovation;
  • Ensure the resilience and scalability of technology globally;
  • Provide first class support to the users of the IT systems when required;
  • Lead the procurement processes for selecting all third-party technology partners;
  • Integrate IT systems to enable the seamless sharing of information between all departments;
  • Project manage the introduction of any new systems to minimise the risk of disruption to the commercial output of the business;
  • Lead innovation by reviewing new technologies such as AI, ML etc. which would provide the business with a competitive advantage;
  • Develop and maintain the company website;
  • Ensure IT Security is first class and there are no security breaches;
  • Provide Management Information, Business Intelligence and analytics to the SMT & Board when required;
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR at all times.



The candidate will:

  • Be an experienced senior technology executive, preferably as an IT Director or equivalent;
  • Be a proven ITD in a Professional Services, Consulting, Business Services, Technology or Financial Services business;
  • Preferably have experience of working in a SME (£10m to £250m revenues);
  • Have proven experience of designing and executing IT strategies;
  • Be highly experienced with hardware, software, security and connectivity solutions;
  • Have worked in a multi-site business, including hybrid working models;
  • Have managed third party IT relationships effectively;
  • Preferably have international experience;
  • Have strong project management skills;
  • Manage the IT budget effectively and ensure RoI is tracked and achieved;
  • Have proven transformational change experience;
  • Have a progressive outlook and keen interest in emerging technologies.
