  • The primary responsibility is to lead the Procurement management of defined categories through the application of Total Cost Management principles.
  • Sub categories: Property Management, Maintenance, Services, Technical & Assets, Cleaning, Security, Waste, Utilities, Dry Store, Vehicles, IT & Equipment, Corporate Services.

A multinational blue chip catering business. After being hit with the travel restrictions during Covid, the business is rapidly growing and expanding. They are looking for develop the procurement function and role allows you to be involved in transformation and improvement projects. Description

  • Defining and delivering key objectives for each category and sub-category under scope in order to implement overall Category plan, address all business requirements, generate benefits, deliver positive change and achieve savings target through strategic projects and activities.
  • Defining and delivering a Procurement Category strategy through a deep analysis of the key elements of the Category, including:
  • Procurement spend and supply base analysis
  • Stakeholder analysis and business requirements
  • Supply market positioning
  • Supply base assessment
  • Supplier financial analysis
  • RFI/RFP/RFQ/ E-auctions
  • Negotiation
  • Cost drivers and key component indexes
  • Service Level Agreements
  • Cost analysis
  • Strategic options & objective decision making
  • Defining and Negotiating Contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure that service, quality, added value, total cost, security of supply and deployment of the supplier's capabilities in innovation are secured.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to manage the development and implementation of the procurement category strategy agreeing the strategy with the regional management teams.
  • Leading all supplier negotiations for assigned categories and managing ongoing strategic supply partnerships
  • Carrying out make-or-buy decisions and introduce innovative alternatives to meet demand
  • Harmonising processes, contracts and specifications between sites
  • Carrying out supplier relationship management measures
  • Provide technical guidance and instruction to assigned staff in the execution of work and monitor order execution
  • Defining annual Budget and report actual category performance monthly by project against budget
  • Drive innovation from preferred suppliers
  • Participating in Group, Centre of Excellence or Group Procurement projects as assigned

Profile

  • Experience of working to deliver a new Indirect Procurement strategy is desirable
  • Significant previous procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of a procurement category strategy and procurement category benefits including financial savings
  • Experienced in complex stakeholder management
  • Skillful in handling all stakeholder groups and creating networks
  • Demonstrated experience in the specific procurement category
  • Experience of working with a fragmented user base in multiple locations
  • Experienced negotiator with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in purchasing of food, beverage & consumable products (desirable)
  • Understanding of relevant strategic sourcing and demand levers and cross-functional approaches and ability to adapt levers to cope with specific challenges
  • Good experience in managing and delivering projects on time in international and cross-entity settings
  • Ability to motivate and manage cross-functional and cross-entity teams, securing resources, redirecting team efforts as focus shifts
