Description

This is an exciting opportunity new to the UK and requires current working knowledge in the Automotive sector.

A sales leader with a strong appreciation of new innovation across all things powertrain.

The Sales Director will lead a team of ten accomplished sales people responsible for delivering approx £5M each, winning sizeable 10, 20 up to £100M orders.

Working with motor-sports, passenger and specialist vehicles across the OE and tier 1 landscape but also heavily within R&D

The Sales Director will:

  • Achieve and exceed quarterly/yearly sales targets
  • Direct the efforts of the sales team in the achievement of strategic objectives in the UK
  • Direct the efforts of the sales team to meet all Sales objectives
  • Manage the staffing and maintain an effective and expert sales team
  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensure the portfolio and services are sold effectively
  • Collaborate with the management team to create a successful total UK Strategy
  • Effectively communicate to all stakeholders

Profile

The Sales Director will have:

  • A technical or business degree/qualification.
  • In-depth understanding of powertrain and ideally electrification
  • Proven track record in the automotive industry
  • Demonstrable leadership experience, also needs to be a strong sales person
  • Proven track record in Automotive Account Management and business development pursuits.
  • The ability to execute strategies skilfully involving multiple stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, result oriented, customer focused
  • Team player who embraces responsibility and wants to be part of a winning team
  • Very strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to meet and beat deadlines
