OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Full Job Description
Reporting to the parent company Board, the CEO will design and deliver the UK commercial and operational strategy, ensuring the business delivers its profitable growth aspirations. Leading the Company's overall strategic decisions and ensure that all business units and departments are working in accordance with such goals.
The CEO will drive the B2C E-Commerce growth strategy as well as ensuring productivity and continuous process improvements. This will include but not limited to planning, organizing, leading optimum day to day operations to exceed customers' expectations, increasing production, quality control, maintenance, inventory control, shipping and receiving assets capacity and flexibility, while minimizing unnecessary costs.
Additionally, the CEO is responsible for the inspiration and development of the management team and staff by demonstrating a command of operational efficiencies and a mastery of team member engagement. This person will be responsible for setting high standards and goals.
The CEO will manage all the staff in the business either directly or indirectly through Team Leaders/Managers. The business groups include Warehouse, Distribution and Logistics Teams, a Technical Sales Team, a Customer Service Team, a Digital/I.T. Team, a Finance and Administration Team, a Procurement Team and a Human Resources Team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 15+ years' senior general management experience leading successful B2C E-Commerce businesses
- P&L accountability/responsibility/ownership and a proactive working attitude
- Distribution and warehousing
- Graduate calibre with qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, or related field of study or equivalent experience working in a related field
- Skilled in organisational development, personnel management, budget / resource development and strategic planning
