Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Professional to work as the Head of Learning Technology on a long-term, full-time contract with a Police Force based in Hendon, North-West London.
Job Summary
The role holder will work across the MPS to design appropriate L&D solution strategies to meet business needs in terms of delivery, people development data and compliance. The role holder will undertake the following key duties as part of the role:
Support the L&D Director to drive the leadership capabilities agenda utilising the Met's Learning Management System (LMS) to devise and deliver a compelling strategy around leadership and management of training needs (evolving or replace existing strategies)
Leading the integration of blended learning solutions driving the LMS to maximise access to and consumption of development content.
Develop the technical capabilities of the Met, by maximising the integration of the LMS to other key digital infrastructures such as 'Resource Management / Command & Control', by focusing on business performance and people development.
Key Result Areas
Lead the successful setup and deployment of the new LMS which is the digital infrastructure that will underpin the MPS Learning Strategy. This is a specialist senior role to help drive the delivery and optimisation of the LMS to provide specialist training and personal development for all MPS officers and staff. This role is essential to deliver on the corporate Met Pillar objective of becoming a learning organisation, as the LMS delivers targeted learning at scale across London.
Essential Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field
Strong background in project management (particularly Agile or Hybrid), strategic planning, business analysis, knowledge of LMS and People Development technologies
Experience with training and certifications in the public sector.
Experience with Enterprise large scale rollouts of Talent Management tools such as Successfactors, Oracle or SumTotal, but preferably Cornerstone OnDemand.
Understanding of L&D and training business processes within an international or professional services environment.
Core, Learning, Performance and Talent Management Reporting KPIS.
Experience
Experience of building and maintaining collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries and stakeholder groups including internal and external partners, to enable the smooth delivery of L&D services and projects.
Experience in managing the wider intricacies of large-scale performance data-sets and dashboards to inform long-term learning and development / continuous Improvement strategies.
Experience in managing staff identifying and analysing risks and opportunities to/for the organisation in order to mitigate wider risk exposure and capitalise on identified opportunities.
Experience delivering continuous improvement initiatives across a large workforce by proactively correcting inefficiencies within L&D learner data to secure successful outcomes.
Proven experience and skills to constantly seek to monitor and improve data, systems and processes within L&D via both internal and external answerable audits.
Experience of working within a wider partnership setting (client/contractor) for the delivery of a data audit service provision to best drive performance.
