Management Accountant
An International retail business in London are seeking a newly qualified accountant from practice (ACA/ACCA) to come and join their finance team. This role is pivotal in the delivery of accounting services throughout the business. The successful candidate will report into a finance manager and be someone who is highly analytical, happy to get stuck in, and be responsible for a range of activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform reporting activities during closing book and consolidate financial results
- Process monthly journal entries
- Making necessary GL adjustments
- Prepare schedules for statutory and internal audits
- Assist with monthly close process, including monthly flash P&L reports and system reconciliations
- Ad hoc support to the finance manager
- Support the weekly reporting process, providing UK reporting from Sales to Gross Profit.
What we are looking for:
- Audit experience ideally from the Big 4
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
- At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge of retail businesses advantageous
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and (ERP training is desirable)
- Strong technical background with experience applying IFRS 16
- Able to analyse information and present it in a format easily understood by individuals both inside and outside of Finance
