Michael Page Logistics are currently recruiting a General Manager that will cover two sites in the Thames Valley and Southampton area.

Our client are a global leader in 3rd party logistics. You will be responsible for both a multi user and dedicated warehouse.

Description

The General Manager will have overall responsibility for leading a team in providing high quality service for all customers based out of the two locations. The General Manager will be a key member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible (with other members of the Senior Management Team) for implementing the regional/site plans, operational structures and site/customer specific procedures as determined by the Senior Management Team. In addition, the General Manager is responsible for ensuring that the site meets performance standards set in the key result areas of the business.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of:

• Managing a 3PL site/operation or multiple smaller locations
• Managing site P&L(s)with turnover of around £5m - £10m
• Managing blue-chip customers commercial and operational relationships
• New customer implementation
• Experience of TUPE transfer and similar level HR processes.
• New-build site implementation experience would be an advantage
• Demonstratable continuous improvement project experience and results.
• Demonstratable experience developing staff into and from middle-management positions and/or above.
