Our Client/The Role

Our client is a highly successful privately owned equipment supplier for a wide range of well-known businesses and brands throughout the UK. The company is growing, diversifying into new markets and looking to appoint a suitably experienced Service Director.  

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities will entail:

  • Leading the team of field based Service Engineers and the office based Customer Service team
  • Improvement of processes, procedures, efficiencies, and overall effectiveness of the Service function  
  • Leading, coaching, developing, appraising and performance management
  • Developing and delivering a strategic plan for the enhancement of the company’s overall levels of Service
  • Being professional at all times, leading by example

Objective/Subjective Requirements

Suitable candidates will have:

  • A proven track record of leading a successful Service Function – ideally nationally
  • Plenty of experience in establishing good practice within a Service Department
  • A real appreciation for; importance of client relations, performance management, quality assurance, commercial aspects of sales and strategic planning
  • Confidence, be approachable with excellent communication skills
  • Real enthusiasm, drive and energy
  • A team focused approach to what they do, being transparent, supportive and motivating
