Our client, an SME healthcare organisation based in Buckinghamshire, requires an experienced Finance Director to support the Managing Director and Executive Team to deliver the organisation's aims and objectives.

We are looking for someone with Healthcare / NHS primary care experience.

This is a broad role covering 1) all areas of financial management, ensuring that the business is compliant with statutory regulations / corporate governance / audit and 2) commercial finance, including planning, performance management, contracts, strategy.

This is a hybrid role, but the individual will be needed in the office for 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Contribute to the development of corporate strategy
  • Contribute to the development of commercial strategy including involvement in bids/tenders for new business.
  • Manage hybrid/flexible finance team - 5 people (2 qualifieds)
  • Responsibity for all areas of finance including Group Management Accounts and annual accounts.
  • Ensure robust and effective financial management systems in place for budgeting & forecasting, reporting, cashflow etc
  • Ensure a best in class controls & compliance environment
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Experience Includes:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare Sector.
  • Experienced FD / Chief Financial Officer
  • Experience within NHS or Primary Care Environment

The successful candidate will be an experienced FD / CFO with a background within the NHS or a Primary Care Environment who can roll up their sleeves and hit the ground running in this fast paced environment.

You will need hands-on financial management experience, coupled with commercial acumen - the ability to look at bids / tenders and take a commercial stance.
