Financial Services Policy Manager

Global membership body

Description

I am currently recruiting a Financial Services Policy Manager with a global body in London.

The role reports to the Head of Regulatory Affairs, alongside a team of two others. Working closely with key member working groups and as relevant with the Research team, the Regulatory Affairs team handles advocacy on behalf of the membership collectively, with particular emphasis on engagement with international standard-setting bodies. In addition to excellent, all-round communication and consensus-building skills, this requires the ability to analyse complex issues and to crystallise policy positions.

Additionally, the team keeps members informed on global regulatory and market developments, via a series of publications and meetings, and by producing educational materials on newer issues. There are also some shared general support duties, relating to events and committee meetings.

Profile

The positions would best suit someone with 10 and 5 years' experience of financial-services regulation, respectively, though we will consider particularly less experienced candidates who have an aptitude for member-driven organisations. In subject matter terms, preference will be given to candidates with exposure to any or all of the following policy areas: operational risk, cyber resilience, CCP matters, market data and crypto.
