Skills:

Programme Manager sought by a software consulting organisation working in the actuarial and insurance sectors, to lead the project management team and also take a key role in establishing and maintaining best practice for the delivery of client software. The role will lead a team of project managers, supporting their development and career goals, while also taking ownership of larger programmes and delivery for strategic clients. You will also own project governance and work to improve and maintain executable project management processes for client software implementations. Candidates may work flexibly with travel to clients as required.

Candidates will demonstrate the following -

• Experience of managing the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects oh behalf of a software provider or similar, using both Agile and Waterfall approaches.
• Experience of leading project management teams and providing support for their career growth and development.
• Experience of defining best practice for project delivery.
• Experience of planning tools such as MS Project or Jira, and of owning programme reporting at portfolio and project level.
• Experience of client facing software implementation projects preferred.
• Really strong people skills and the ability to both lead and work well within a team.
• A proactive and flexible approach and the ability to work under pressure.
• A collaborative working style.
