What can I expect to do in this job?

  • Elicitation - uncover the underlying customer and business issues that need to be addressed and discover any information related to a project
  • Analyse requirements - organising, specifying and modelling the requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous
  • Specifying requirements - ensuring that the documentation of the requirements is in a layout and format that can be easily shared with and understood by stakeholders
  • Validating and verifying requirements - making sure that requirements map to the business need being addressed, are approved by stakeholders and that they meet with relevant quality standards
  • Support delivery - providing analytical support to suppliers and internal teams during the delivery phase.
  • Challenge constructively - act as a critical voice to stakeholders, delivery colleagues and suppliers in order to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose and facilitate collaboration.

Profile

What experience, skills and knowledge do you need?

Ideally you will have either Rail or Travel sector experience as this would be desirable

We are looking for someone with experience (5+ years) of working as a senior business analyst, demonstrating a strong aptitude for the role and expert business analysis knowledge.

We are looking for an E-commerce Senior Business Analyst who has previous experience in the following:

  • Large-scale B2C and B2B digital and web based projects and programmes (both front and Back End), including retail/E-commerce and ideally in mobile and progressive web app development
  • Content management and customer relationship management systems
  • Data mapping and defining API end points and data feeds
  • High volume/transaction digital channels
  • User experience/usability and web accessibility
  • GDPR and data privacy

Some of the sort of specific skills we are looking for include be able to:

  • Run project definition workshops and resolve complex scoping issues and stakeholder conflicts
  • Perform project estimation for BA related tasks
  • Make recommendations for Business Analysis approach for projects
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders
  • Take part in tendering with third party software suppliers
  • Manage relationships with third party suppliers
  • Work proactively to resolve project issues and mitigate project risks
  • Construct data models
  • Undertake and lead Business Analyst activity for highly complex projects and programmes
  • Lead the project change and release management processes

The E-commerce Senior Business Analyst will receive - GBP75-80k on a 12 month FTC
