Interim Head of Treasury and Banking
Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Scotland to recruit for an Interim Head of Treasury and Banking in the Public Sector on a temporary basis of 6 months with a potential extension. Due to current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.
Day rate: £650-£700 (Inside IR35) via Umbrella
We are looking to recruit an experienced, qualified Finance professional to provide support during a time of transition. This will involve supporting the incumbent during their wind down period and the new recruit during their familiarisation period.
The Main Duties will be:
Management of Treasury and Banking branch. Responsible for the management of all funding flows, ensuring that the limits set are not breached.
Management of the Consolidation Fund, ensuring that all payments and receipts comply with the relevant statutory requirements and oversight of the preparation of the annual accounts of the fund and their statutory external audit.
Ensure that monthly cash forecasts are submitted to deadlines and overseeing in-month monitoring of cash flows.
Management of the reconciliation of bank and other asset and liability accounts for which the branch is responsible.
Lead on engagement with banking and supplier relationship managers, providing specialist advice, guidance and support to new and existing customers in relation to all banking services.
Divisional lead for engagement with both internal and external Audits, on information and systems assurance
Essential
- Membership of a CCAB accountancy body with up to date CPD.
- Staff management experience in a finance environment.
- Experience of operating a large, Tier 1 packaged accounting software application in conjunction with delivery of accountancy services to system users and other stakeholders.
- Experience of engaging with and communicating with a range of stakeholders in a financial environment, particularly in the context of changes to any or all of systems, services and customers and other stakeholders.
- A Standard Scottish Disclosure will be required for this role
