IT Director, Fintech, London & Gibraltar, basic £90,000 to £130,000 + excellent package +

We are pleased to represent a Gibraltar-based fintech and payments sector business in their recruitment of an IT Director as part of the next stage of growth and expansion of the business. The Government of Gibraltar has focused a lot of energy and resources on making Gibraltar a real 'fintech' capital and our client has fully engaged in that process, enabling rapid growth and success.

The business provides a wide array of payment solutions and fintech services for enterprise clients, including foreign exchange and transaction processing services, and has been successful in building up a large amount of clients including major financial institutions and technology start up ventures.

The role of IT Director can be located either in London or Gibraltar, however please do be aware that there will be some travel expected (perhaps one or two days per month) between locations (this is of course subject to Covid travel restrictions for the time being, meaning that meetings are more likely over Zoom initially).

The IT Director position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will manage the end to end delivery of IT services, technology and digital provision across the business. The IT Director will lead a team of 12-15 staff, including a Microsoft team, networking and data centre staff, information security, DBAs and Linux specialists.

The IT Director will act as the 'technology lead' in delivering all technology change and business related IT innovation, including IT infrastructure, technology processes and day to day IT operational management across both London and Gibraltar offices.

Interested candidates will need experience in similar technology leadership roles as Head of IT or IT Director, ideally with some experience of financial services, banking or payments.

The IT Director will need project and programme delivery experience, experience of Linux technology and middleware technologies. Most importantly we seek an IT Director who is able to hold a business conversation about technology issues, carefully and clearly articulating technology concepts to the understanding of those from a non-IT background.

This role offers a great career opportunity to join a fast-paced and expanding business during a period of further success and growth.
