What do we do?

The Foundry aims to:
* Promote Social Justice and Human Rights by providing a building in which organisations can flourish.
* Promote mission-related investment by providing a successful vehicle for investors that delivers tangible social impacts and through its success, increases confidence and awareness of mission-related investment.

The Foundry brings together some of the country's most innovative and progressive social justice and human rights organisations into ethically managed, affordable spaces where they can share ideas, work together, enhance their public profile, and improve their ability to engage with and educate the public on social justice and human rights issues.

The Foundry achieves this by providing office space, conference facilities, events and exhibition space, and café facilities to create a destination venue that will attract the wider public and non-tenant organisations. It will also act as a nerve centre for other activities, both actual and virtual, which will enable the Foundry to reach far beyond its physical boundaries. The Foundry enjoys good local partnerships and is looking to develop as an asset within our local community.

We have identified four key objectives that we consider critical to The Foundry achieving its broad
aims as outlined above. These are:

1. To enable organisations to achieve more impact while fighting for human rights and social
justice
2. To offer an excellent quality ethically managed space
3. To help support the regeneration of the local community
4. To offer a sustainable return to investors
