We operate across large global organisations, mid-tier FTSE 250 companies, high-growth AIM-listed and PE-backed organisations, and the public sector.

Due to continued expansion we are looking to hire a Relationship Manager to focus on our global Chair and Non-executive Director membership base and our Chair-Ready Programme.

The role

We are currently seeking a Relationship Manager to manage our members who are focused on non-executive careers. Typically, these are former CEOs, CFOs and HRDs who now have a range of Chair and Non-executive directorships across PLCs, private equity, public sector bodies and charities. You will be responsible for ensuring annual membership renewals, running online and hybrid events, providing tailored support to individual members, and contributing to the development of our Chair/NED programme of events and content.

The ideal candidate will be a creative team player with strong business acumen, an understanding of non-executive positions and careers, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will regularly facilitate and participate in Criticaleye events with board directors and decision-makers from some of the world's pre-eminent companies and consultancies. You will be encouraged to think in an entrepreneurial manner, contribute to the strategy of the company and work as part of a great team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, grow and retain relationships with members in your portfolio, ensuring you understand their non-executive career objectives and business challenges in their portfolio of roles
  • Create and facilitate a bespoke programme of support to each member in a timely fashion
  • Instigate relevant one-to-one connections between members
  • Chair and facilitate online and hybrid discussion group events
  • Provide career advice to your clients as required, with the appropriate level of candour
  • Work collaboratively with Editorial, Marketing and Advisory Partnership teams on event and content planning
  • Liaise with the Business Development Managers to ensure a smooth handover of new members and in turn pass on new member referrals
  • Work with the events team to ensure the smooth running of events


Key Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience working in a Relationship Manager role or similar
  • Personal gravitas and credibility to earn trust with senior business leaders and act as a Criticaleye representative
  • Commercially astute with good sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to engage with and advise senior business leaders across a broad spectrum of industries and functions
  • Organised with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task without compromising strong attention to detail
  • Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
