Charteris Global Search are working in partnership with an established consultancy and engineering business who provide consulting, technology and innovative solutions to the Energy & Water industries.

Overview

The existing level of business & growth potential in the UK demands the appointment of additional leaders who can generate circa £2M-£3M across Utilities/Water solutions.

As a leader/director - you will drive the roadmap to knowledge leadership, and will achieve industry wide recognition, leading in customer, partner forums, and academia. You will be accountable for forging enduring partnerships and associations with players in the industry to build rounded capability.

You will carry end-to-end responsibility for the business unit reporting into the CEO.

You will own the UK P&L for the business unit with both revenue and bottom-line accountabilities. Managing C-level relationships with your current and prospective client base you will also be responsible for pre-sales, business development, pipeline/order-book generation and deal closure. You will be responsible for people development and management responsibility for your UK team and will also draw upon resources from Centres of Excellence.

• You will create, manage and maintain engagements in supply chain, solution providers and the market - transmission /distribution Engineering processes, systems, instrumentation, communications technologies.
• Senior Relationships within Utilities. Senior Management/Exec level experience, in defining and managing business cases through diverse range of stakeholders.
• Commercial, financial and negotiating acumen
• To develop and run business, preferably in UK and European markets
• Management of a team of international cultures.
• Engineering experience of the Utility Network, eg: Power/Water/Gas
• Accountability for Capital Delivery, Network Health & Control, Capacity Planning and Engineering
• Direct accountability for promise delivery to organisation's executive, and customer executive leadership

Skills required:

•Full understanding of a consultancy ran business

•Proven track record of P&L revenue across Utilities

•Business development across Utilities & Power

•Aware of developments and their impacts on the Energy and Water utilities business, such as proliferation of distributed generation
