The new CTO will be at the forefront of Trade Nation’s endeavour to transform from a successful trading platform to a top Fintech player.

The Role

• Reporting into the CEO the new CTO is a business-critical strategic appointment.
• As CTO, you will define and maintain the technology strategy, vision, processes and architecture to meet business challenges and support the product roadmap and delivery.
• Develop the technology platform and engineering capabilities to become a critical company asset.
• Accelerate and transform the technology organisation focusing upon improved delivery capabilities, new operating models, a cloud first approach with emphasis on automation and operational excellence.
• Ensure that the technology vision is implemented both in the organisations’ product portfolio and in their internal technology systems and operations.
• Manage and evolve the infrastructure, both owned and public cloud that underpins Trade Nation’s portfolio.
• Lead, motivate and empower the team to deliver strong results and personal growth.

Skills and experience

• Either operating at CTO or VP/Engineering level, with experience working in delivering Multi-Channel, SaaS platforms, Fintech transforming/scaling businesses.
• Deep understanding of cloud architectures, containerisation, and serverless technologies.
• Strong cloud-native credentials.
• Experience of managing agile and other SDLC’s.
• Strong software engineering background and hands on in the past.
• Experience of multiple programming languages; primarily use. Net, Python and JavaScript.
• Strong ability to work and manage teams across multiple locations.
• Adept communicator at all levels.
