We are looking for a SC cleared Head of Communications to oversee and deliver the department's media strategy and all internal and external communications.

As the Head of Communications, you will be:

Developing and delivering marketing and communications initiatives for the department.

Being responsible for supporting organisational change, strategically shaping communications, ensuring a unified and on-target message across all media channels.

Producing proactive and authoritative press releases, briefings, articles and other materials as required to fit with the department's vision and strategy.

Planning and delivering reactive media campaigns and responses e.g. in the run up to and aftermath of Budgets or Spending Reviews, policy proposals, or external reports;

Undertaking the necessary monitoring and evaluation activities in order to determine the success or otherwise of communications strategies.

Location: Shrivenham 2-3 days/WFH

Ideally you will have some public sector experience & be available now/on a short notice period.
