Job Details

  • The Partnerships Manager will be a highly capable development professional leading on pre-contract client management across land led projects.

  • As a Partnerships Manager, you will assess and report on the feasibility of new business opportunities as presented by the Development Land teams, tender opportunities and work with clients and internal colleagues to deliver optimised schemes.

Description

  • Work with the regional Development Land lead to meet Executive and Group targets for business growth
  • Review and appraise opportunities for their suitability and potential partners then provide feedback to the development team/head of partnerships
  • Support the Head of Partnerships with identifying potential new Partners and Strategic Partners
  • Prepare bid invitation and supporting information for land led schemes (supported by the development team land lead)
  • Review and scrutinise bids to be able to make recommendations to the development team on the chosen partner
  • Support Head of Partnerships with negotiations on larger complex schemes
  • Support the regional Development Land team by advising on LA policy, RP development programmes and funding within the region
  • Work closely with Clients, Planning, Development and Design colleagues to create scheme optimisation and advise on potential client concerns and wishes/feedback
  • Work with Development, Commercial, Construction and Technical teams to co-ordinate information required to assemble contract documents and agree contract appendices or proposals
  • Report and advise on key contractual triggers and notice requirements to the Development, Commercial, Construction and Technical teams
  • Act as primary interface between clients on Land Led projects during the pre-contract and pre-construction phase and provide an effective handover to the construction Partnerships Manager
  • Co-ordinate and Chair meetings with clients on project progress during the pre-construction phase
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Local Planning Authorities, Local Authority Housing Officers, Registered Providers, Financial Institutions etc
  • Provide feedback to the Development and Partnerships teams on leads, project progress, client concerns, issues and solutions
  • Prepare/assist with board reports for authority to proceed/exchange/operational commencement

  • House Builder or Registered Provider development experience (Essential)
  • Demonstrable project/development management skills (Essential)
  • Experience of working with Local Authorities, Registered Providers and Homes England (Desirable)
  • Experience in negotiating and administering Land Sale Agreements (Desirable)
  • Experience in negotiating and administering Build Agreements and standard form contracts (JCT & NEC desirable)
  • Experience in residential development (Essential)
  • Experience in the use of Modern Methods of Construction (Desirable)
  • Experience in co-ordinating information from project teams (Essential)
