Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations required by my client, a gaming company, responsible for the delivery of high quality, reliability IT Infrastructure, and operations. Operational responsibility for ensuring global availability, integrity & scalability of all IT systems and infrastructure across the company. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for the management and direction teams covering cloud services, unified comms, network services, data center operations, server & storage platforms, service monitoring, and the help desk.

You will manage the existing enterprise architecture as well as design and execute the company's technology infrastructure roadmap.

This is an influential role, making investment and priority trade-off decisions, negotiating and managing vendor contracts, and recruiting, retaining, and developing high-performing teams.

You will manage the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies including cloud, software-defined networking, high-performance computing, continuous delivery and the latest collaboration technologies in IT systems and infrastructure.

Skills:

• You MUST be a forward-thinking technology leader capable of designing and developing an infrastructure strategy and driving through to execution and support
• MUST have proven experience in technology leadership positions with an emphasis on infrastructure services.
• MUST have experience leading, directing, and controlling a complex, highly technical operation or organization.
• MUST have experience in cybersecurity as a global topic and deep knowledge in cloud & infrastructure security, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• MUST have experience migrating IT infrastructure into a cloud environment.
• MUST have proven knowledge of business concepts, and an understanding of the links between major business processes, products, systems, and networks.
• Ideally experience of working in the gaming industry or tech start-up
