Our client, a phenomenally well funded Venture Capital (VC) backed software (Software as a Service / Platform as a Service) start up has retained fdu to recruit their first Finance Director.

Reporting to the Group CFO and CEO you will have day to day responsibility for the finance function whilst building a best-in-class financial controls, reporting and FP&A framework, helping to support rapid international growth.

Key responsibilities:
  • Managing all day to day financial activity including statutory compliance.
  • Monthly, quarterly financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, business planning, cashflow forecasting.
  • Providing accurate financial analysis and insights, thereby enabling the Board to make critical commercial business decisions.
  • Financial modelling, interpreting complex financial information for the Board.
  • Advise and implement financial best practice - systems, processes, internal controls.
  • Building a highly motivated, high performing finance team.

Your profile:
  • You will be an academically strong qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 7+ years PQE gained in a variety of large company and start up environments.
  • Experience gained in a Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Cloud Computing business is highly advantageous.
  • Interpersonally strong, you must be able to manage key senior internal and external stakeholders including VC Investors.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing and improving financial processes and of your contribution to the building of a high-quality finance set-up (including people), appropriate for the company experiencing rapid growth.
  • First class presentation and communication skills.
  • Ambitious, energetic, curious.
