Our client is a privately owned services business who is looking for a Finance Director to head up the finance function of this fast-paced business. The FD will report directly to the Managing Director and will have the following responsibilities and duties.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Improving forecasting and analysis to aid key business decision making
• Evaluate finance systems and make enhancements where needed
• Take an active role in shaping the finance strategy
• Work closely with Senior Management and the MD
• Manage, lead and develop the accountancy team
• Interpret financial data and share analysis with key stakeholders
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
• Prepare statutory and management accounts
• Undertake individual finance projects as required
• Oversee all finance tasks including audit, risk and compliance
• Review and restructure the finance team as deemed necessary

Skills and experience required:

• A fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE
• Have experience in a senior leadership role as either a Finance Director or CFO
• Possess excellent communication skills

This is a fast-paced environment which requires forecasting, modelling and analysis based on real-time data. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in rapidly changing commercial environments.
