The opportunity

Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust is a brand-new multi-academy trust which will initially have six schools within the local authority areas of Somerset and North Somerset and all within the south and western parts of the Clifton Diocese. The trust is already registered at Companies House but all other arrangements are at the planning stage and thus these roles provide an exciting opportunity for non-executive directors to shape the future of education in the region and be part of a trailblazing enterprise. Plans are in place for the schools to transfer into the trust from 1st March 2022 but it is hoped the trustees will meet to oversee the strategic planning to allow the trust to get off to a strong start. The trust seeks up to four non-executive directors with board-level expertise in audit, accountancy, education leadership, HR or strategic leadership to join a small group of initial appointments adding vital skills and a capacity for the future. Applicants of all faiths (or those of no faith) are welcome. Board meetings will be taking place virtually or at Alexander House BS5 0TX, when safe to do so.
