Job Details

The UK Service & Operations Director is required to.

  • Manage, develop and lead the UK Service Division with full P&L responsibility for all service and service related revenues and margins.
  • To be accountable for the HSQE standards relevant to the areas of responsibility including customer satisfaction levels.

Client Details

My client are a Service and Product supplier for a variety of industries including the Logistics Distribution and Supply chain sector, Retail & Engineering.

Due to a recent promotion internally we are looking for a new UK Service and Operations Director. You will be an integral part of the team to support business growth, service levels and continue in the development of a great team.

This is a very rare exciting opportunity however you must be within a realistic commute to Exeter for 2-3 Days per week, and willing to travel Nationally as and when required.

Description

The UK Service & Operations Director will have a responsibility for both a National and Regional objectives to include the below;

Regional Responsibilities

  • Efficient and effective Management of field based and office based staff (including workshop)

  • To coach and motivate all employees within the Regional Teams to achieve goals and exceed targets

  • To meet with internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction of service is attained and effective working relationships are developed and maintained

  • Working hand in hand with the sales division to maximise sales growth, ensuring that adequate support levels are in place to deliver profitability and growth

  • Ownership of allocated Key Accounts is taken and ensuring that regular review meetings are held with proactive action taken to progress from a customer satisfaction and commercial perspective

  • Responsible for all Human Resource requirements pertaining to employee relations within the team, working at all times in conjunction with the UK HR Manager

  • Ensuring that SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) policies and procedures are maintained and delivered ensuring safe systems of work, in conjunction with the company's H&S manager

National Responsibilities

Responsible for delivery of service strategy enabling organisation to meet financial and customer retention objectives, leading to sustainable growth and profitability. Build and foster strong customer relationships ensuring that regular relevant customer contact is carried out within the team and appropriate escalations are in place

  • To ensure all internal and external processes with regards to commercial, technical and health & safety targets are compliant with the statutory rules and regulations

  • To oversee the warranty and technical element of the UK Service Support and to ensure financial and commercial viability of the service department.

  • To work closely with the UK Leadership Directors to ensure a quality service is offered to our partners and customers

  • To monitor the availability of spare parts and to enhance the lead and delivery times of ordered parts

  • To look at the strategic development and determination of potential sales of services and spare parts

  • To develop new areas of market and to discuss marketing strategies with the Group Marketing Consultant

  • To represent the UK Service Operation at UK and European meetings and to report on Regional and National Service Performance

  • To ensure employee appraisals are carried out in line with policy, setting and agreeing individual SMART targets / objectives

  • To align all business processes in line with the Company guidelines given by the Board of Directors and / or Managing Director

Profile

The successful candidate for the role of Service & Operations Director will have the following qualifications, skills and attributes;

  • Natural leadership qualities, passion, motivate and charisma, enabling the optimal performance of a large, dynamic and diverse mobile team

  • Professional presence & high presentation skills, providing confidence of vision to teams & cascading of information, values and expectations of the business.

  • An engaging personality, able to collaborate between various functions to achieve mutual goals.

  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively manage and influence both laterally and upward.

  • Ideas generator - able to develop initiatives to support our growth aspirations

  • Commercially minded with a passion to deliver first class service

  • Flexibility around the sector or industry but you must have worked in a Senior Leadership or Board Level role.

  • High Levels of Emotional Intelligence and ability to Influence and Engage.

Job Offer

The successful UK Service & Operations Director will receive;

Salary - £75,000 - £85,000
