Very flexible working arrangements including hybrid/WFH, job-share and the option to work a shorter week.

Our Finance Director, Rob Young, is stepping down after 32 successful years. We now want to recruit an inspirational finance professional with experience of leading in a complex environment to succeed him.

SYHA is the leading housing association serving Sheffield and the City Region. Our city centre office provides a wonderful place to work. We provide services to over 25 thousand people, around half of whom live in our 6 thousand homes. We turn over £45 million annually and own assets worth £1/3 billion at historic cost. We are also planning an ambitious growth programme which includes the construction of a thousand new homes, and participation in a joint venture to provide housing for sale.

SYHA has won many national awards, including Most Innovative Social Housing Organisation and has, most recently, been shortlisted for the Landlord of the Year award. Our exceptionally strong culture and values run through everything we do.

You will need experience of delivering excellence in financial services at a strategic level, but it is not essential to have worked for a housing association. If you like the idea of working with a strongly values-driven, high performing executive team, a skilled, supportive Board and a first-rate group of dedicated, experienced service managers, you can download the recruitment pack under the Documents tab.

We welcome applications from people from all walks of life. SYHA has a strongly positive approach to inclusion - everyone is welcome to apply.
