Interim Strategic Director of Corporate Services/Chief Finance Officer 3-4 day per week

I am currently looking to recruit an Interim Strategic Director of Corporate Services/Chief Finance Officer 

The interim role will provide a strategic link across all Finance and Corporate Services activities to the client Board, and other delegated stakeholders

The interim postholder will be the client’s professional adviser on all financial matters.  The postholder will also act as a strategic financial advisor to the Board and Leadership Team. You will report to and work closely with the Chief Executive and Directors, to develop and deliver the strategic objectives sustainably and in the public interest.

The support of two senior deputies will mean that a full-time appointment to the Director of Corporate Services/ CFO role is not considered essential for this period of maternity cover. The majority of routine activities will be covered by the deputies (for example, in-year and year-end financial reporting, annual budget-setting, delivery of core financial services across the client , team management and management of corporate services SLAs to ensure their effective delivery).

The interim role will provide a Board-level escalation point for the management of risks and issues. You will be responsible for managing relationships with, and Finance and Corporate Services communications to, the Board and CEO, and other critical stakeholders

You will have a proven track record of working in a similar role at Board level within the public sector. This role will be mostly remote with an expectation there maybe some visits to the office for meeting subject to business needs.
