We wish to strengthen our Board with two Non-Executive Directors with experience of one or more of the below specialisms:
The role
BHSF Non-Executive Directors provide an external and independent view on the running of the business of BHSF and its governance. They oversee and constructively challenge management in its implementation of strategy within the Group's system of governance and the risk appetite set by the Board. Specifically:
You
Your ability to provide inspirational, dynamic and forward-thinking strategic leadership and be an independent voice on our Board. An excellent communicator and ambassador, you will have credibility and influence, enabling you to establish effective relationships with a range of key stakeholders and staff. Ideally, you will have operated at a senior executive or non-executive level in the health, wellbeing, technology, financial services or regulatory sectors.

The role
BHSF Non-Executive Directors provide an external and independent view on the running of the business of BHSF and its governance. They oversee and constructively challenge management in its implementation of strategy within the Group's system of governance and the risk appetite set by the Board. Specifically:
- Constructively challenge and contribute to the development of strategy and strategic direction, providing original input
- Advise and support the executive team in delivering the company's objectives by providing guidance and being available as a sounding board when needed
- Act as a constructive critic in looking at the objectives and plans devised by the executive team
- Scrutinise, hold to account and monitor the performance of the executive management team, especially regarding progress made towards achieving the determined company strategy and objectives
- Act with a high level of personal integrity and honesty, always acting fairly and impartially, with a commitment to values of accountability, openness, transparency and equality
- Satisfy themselves on the integrity of the financial information and that financial controls and systems of risk management are robust and defensible
- Ensure that the company presents a true and fair reflection of its actions and financial performance and that the necessary internal control systems are put in place and monitored regularly and rigorously
