This role will involve:
- To lead and manage a joint strategic commissioning function to support the Directorate, Tower Hamlets Together, and where required the client more widely.
- To ensure that robust commissioning strategies and frameworks are in place so that sufficient high-quality services are provided in Tower Hamlets for service users.
- To be responsible for the commissioning and quality assurance of services ensuring these reflect the client's core values and best meet the needs of the local community.
- To manage contracts pertinent to the client and the Directorate for service delivery, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of better outcomes for service users.
- To manage the service and related budgets including responsibility for the day-to-day management of commissioning budgets for those services for whom commissioning is undertaken; the development and implementation of detailed transformation plans and the management of delivery programmes. Ensuring the provision of regular reports on spend, QIPP and MTFS delivery and performance.
