A major global banking institution is looking for a new VP of Data & Analytics for their London based Leveraged Finance division. The role has become available due to continued growth within the Technology function.

VP Data & Analytics - Banking
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver data driven management projects and tools, including maintenance, upgrades, expansion and enhancements to the departmental CRM system, of DealCloud as well as ad hoc data and analytics projects
- Proactively develop and propose data initiatives that generate actionable insights
- Build, develop and maintain data models, dashboards and performance metrics.These will require collaboration with - The Head of Leveraged Finance and Origination MDs, their external systems provider (Dealcloud) to understand the commercial data systems and internal data providers.
Commercial Collaboration:
- Work with Head of Leveraged Finance, Origination Team Leaders and Head of Origination Operations in development of data driven analytics and systems to measure the quality of relationships with key global PE sponsors.
- Working with other product teams across the Group and across the regions to track wallet share and co-ordinate the organisation's commercial approach to these global PE sponsor clients.
Operational Excellence:
To lead certain operational aspects of the team to -
- Provide independent rigour and challenge within the team to ensure consistency of approach and continued high standards of processes across London, Frankfurt and Paris teams.
- Acting as a centre of excellence for best practice and knowledge of internal processes and systems;
- Resolving & executing complex operational challenges on new transactions
Profile
VP Data & Analytics - Banking
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum five years of CRM data analytics experience (financial services or professional services domains preferred).
- Substantial experience with third-party data tools used in conjunction with a CRM system.
- Substantial experience with Business Intelligence platforms that aggregate and report on data across multiple systems.
- Experience writing algorithms, data attribution models and similar statistical analyses.
- Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
- Proficiency in and standard/complex reporting including custom reports and dashboards. General knowledge of Salesforce technical configuration.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel including pivot tables, macros, visualization, and dashboard creation for user experience.
- Experience with data visualization tools - Tableau, Power Bi etc.
- Superior oral and written communication skills blended with excellent presentation skills.
- Proven project management experience and working knowledge of service delivery model.
- Proven process engineering and knowledge management abilities, including documentation.
- Significant experience in banking systems, operations and regulations.
- European Leveraged Finance market knowledge particularly useful but not essential.
- Experience of presenting to external clients/parties and management.
- Ability to form, manage and operate within virtual teams across countries and departments
Job Offer
A basic salary of up to GBP100,000 (depending upon experience) plus bonus and comprehensive company benefits.
Hybrid/flexible working is also offered.
