Job Purpose:
- To manage the Children's Integrated Commissioning team.
Roles and responsibilities:
- To provide senior leadership, oversight and line management to the work of those teams responsible for commissioning as it relates to children and young people's health and wellbeing (including maternity).
- Oversight and management of Integrated Travel Functions for Children's, the delivery of the Independent Travel Training for children, the oversight and management of Short Break's Co-ordination Service, alongside the Children with Disabilities Team; and the commissioning, management, and brokerage of accommodation for care leavers.
- To identify service improvements and efficiencies and design and deliver programmes of transformational change through the effective commissioning of services.
- To manage commissioning staff, and work in a matrix away across a wide range of teams and partners.
- To manage the service and related budgets including responsibility for the day-to-day management of commissioning budgets for those services for whom commissioning is undertaken; the development and implementation of detailed transformation plans and the management of delivery programmes
Knowledge and experience:
- Local authority experience is desirable
- Experience of management
- Experience with Children's commissioning teams
