JOB TITLE: Head of Children's Integrated Commissioning
LOCATION: East London
PAY RATE: £424.19 Daily PAYE / £550 Daily Umbrella
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION/Hours: 6-month initial contract/ 35 hours a week
IR35 STATUS: Inside

Job Purpose:
  • To manage the Children's Integrated Commissioning team.

Roles and responsibilities:
  • To provide senior leadership, oversight and line management to the work of those teams responsible for commissioning as it relates to children and young people's health and wellbeing (including maternity).
  • Oversight and management of Integrated Travel Functions for Children's, the delivery of the Independent Travel Training for children, the oversight and management of Short Break's Co-ordination Service, alongside the Children with Disabilities Team; and the commissioning, management, and brokerage of accommodation for care leavers.
  • To identify service improvements and efficiencies and design and deliver programmes of transformational change through the effective commissioning of services.
  • To manage commissioning staff, and work in a matrix away across a wide range of teams and partners.
  • To manage the service and related budgets including responsibility for the day-to-day management of commissioning budgets for those services for whom commissioning is undertaken; the development and implementation of detailed transformation plans and the management of delivery programmes

Knowledge and experience:
  • Local authority experience is desirable
  • Experience of management
  • Experience with Children's commissioning teams
