Seven Resourcing are looking for an interim Head of Childrens Integrated Commissioning to work in Tower Hamlets. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £550.00 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

The Head Children's Integrated Commissioning will play a key leadership role in delivering the ambition for joint children's commissioning and will have responsibility for commissioning arrangements for services for children and young people with a broad scope covering maternity at pre-birth and the transition of children into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities:
Take the lead in setting direction, ambition and scale for the CCG and Council's joint commissioning arrangements including as they relate to the Tower Hamlets Together.
To provide senior leadership, oversight and line management to the work of those teams responsible for commissioning as it relates to children and young people's health and wellbeing (including maternity) undertaken on behalf of the Council and the CCG. Including the oversight and management of Integrated Travel Functions for Children's, the delivery of the Independent Travel Training for children, the oversight and management of Short Break's Co-ordination Service, alongside the Children with Disabilities Team; and the commissioning, management and brokerage of accommodation for care leavers.

To ensure all services have effective mechanisms in place to safeguard the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

To promote service transformation, service innovation, high standards of customer care, partnership, and the delivery of integrated service provision with residents and service users, the third sector and other independent providers, and the CCG, other Council Directorates and other public service agencies, and local networks and partnerships.

To identify service improvements and efficiencies and design and deliver programmes of transformational change through the effective commissioning of services.

To lead, develop and provide strategic direction, support and guidance for the commissioning of services across the Directorate, CCG and Council.

To manage commissioning staff, and work in a matrix away across a wide range of teams and partners.

To manage the service and related budgets including responsibility for the day-to-day management of commissioning budgets for those services for whom commissioning is undertaken; the development and implementation of detailed transformation plans and the management of delivery programmes. Ensuring the provision of regular reports on spend, QIPP and MTFS delivery and performance.

Applicant Requirements:
  • Qualifications: N/A.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Current DBS check and references covering the last 3 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
