Michael Page Logistics are looking to recruit a Logistics Operations manager for our client. This will be based from the company HO in Southampton with requirements to travel to the midlands.

Our client are a leader in the supply of equipment to the healthcare sector. Due to organic growth and acquisitions the business continue to expand their operation across the UK and this role will play a key part.

Description

This position will be working to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the logistics solution with a key focus on the optimisation of 3PL selection, relationship, SLA setting, systems interface and KPIs. You will be involved with a critical project team as well as being part of the wider warehouse & logistics team

  • Provide analysis and information to enable effective 3PL selection, management and delivery of the agreed logistics solution.
  • Work with team members and project management to ensure achievement of all goals related to the logistics function
  • Be the integral person to provide information and intelligence to develop, track, review and report on Ecom logistics control related to reflect performance and delivery.
  • Ensure the achievement of the project plan logistics deliverables and become the business SME.
  • Understand and optimise systems to ensure accurate and timely data interchange and inventory accuracy.
  • Work with the Ops team to ensure harmonies are achieved and cross functional learning. Develop a solution which enables a stand alone Ecom function within the operation which is scalable and could potentially be brought in-house should the business require in the future.
  • Working closely with the Operations, Commercial and Strategy teams, to execute the plan to optimise the delivery of our finished goods via the Ecom channel.
  • Lead in the development of an optimised order fulfilment strategy.

Profile

Candidates wishing to be considered will require previous experience of managing the performance of 3PL and 4PL providers. As a result of this you will have a solid understanding of logistics management, warehouse management and distribution with experience of optimising carriers networks to meet the ned of the business. Candidates with experience of implementation of 3PL/ 4PL or broader project management are encouraged to apply. This will involved a complex product mix with varied dimensions and requires a solutions driven and quick thinker who can resolve issues within the project as they arise. You will be able to take on responsibility and enjoy a challenge.

Job Offer

The role is available as a 6 month project so candidates will need to be able to start immediately. You will receive a competitive salary and package.
