The Company

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with one of London's most exciting businesses to recruit a Finance Director.

This company are at the forefront of medical technology and are looking to scale the business towards an IPO or sale in the next few years.

Since their inception, they have raised an eye watering amount of investment are looking to close a fundraise in the next year as well as scale their operations both in the UK and out in the US.

The Finance Director will be acting as an advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team providing key financial information and helping the business to make key strategic decisions.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO of the business, the Finance Director will oversee strategic Finance and day to day operations (with the help of a Finance Manager).

Duties include:
  • Supporting the CEO and senior leadership team on fundraising activities
  • Oversight of investment reporting to both debt and equity investors
  • Advising on strategy relating to finance and structuring of investments
  • The management of budging, forecasting and cash flow reporting
  • Preparation and continual improvement of KPI reporting
  • Working with senior leadership to prepare and analyse monthly performance reports
  • Strategising with senior leadership on key business decisions and their financial impact
  • Financial scenario planning and risk assessment
  • Overseeing day to day Finance which is managed by a Finance Manager


What we need to see (Essential):
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Extensive commercial finance experience
  • Experience working with directly with the CEO and senior stakeholders of a company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be impactful at a senior level
  • Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue to learn
  • The ability to work within a small team, you must be comfortable with "rolling up your sleeves"


What we'd like to see (Desirable):
  • Experience working for a Start-Up in the Life Sciences and knowledge of the R&D process i.e., do you understand how clinical trials work?
  • Experience supporting an exit/IPO strategy


Package
  • Basic Salary: £100,000 - £120,000
