The CTO will lead the company's technology strategy while developing an organisation that promotes technology innovation aligned with their commercial growth strategies.

Work closely with marketing, to further develop their e-commerce led B2B business.

Client Details

The company is a Private Equity backed SME. They are a global business, with international operations in the US and across Asia. As part of their global expansion plans, they have professionalised in the last two years, and are recruiting a number of key leadership positions.

The business has a complex product and customer base, with over 6000 individual customers.

While the company is growing organically, they are proactively looking to acquire, and there will be M&A activity with integration on a regular basis.

Description

The role will be a strategic leader on the senior leadership team, and will work to create a strong strategy and road map for delivery. Together, Leadership, Architecture Management and People Management are one part of the role. Alongside this, there will be significant Project Management.

The first project will be to take a view of whether their ERP is fit for purpose, and assess the risk across the platform, people and existing strategy. Wider than this, the will be a full review of their e-commerce offering to include new areas like 'live chat' and customer support, also integrating their site into their systems.

It is expected that the CTO will review the skills of the existing Technology team, and restructure/hire additional headcount to bring in new talent.

Profile

We are looking for candidates who have worked for a mix of large and small company backgrounds, in order to have seen best practice, but also having got involved in the detail that working operationally for an SME would require.

Candidates should have sat on the senior leadership team as CTO or IT Director of a global organisation previously.

Experience of an e-commerce led B2B business is required, as is detailed knowledge and experience of ERP's and leadership of an ERP implementation.

Job Offer

A salary of between £120-130,000 plus executive benefits.

There is hybrid working, with the expectation of 2 or more days in the office each week, but there will be flexibility with this requirement.
