DIRECTOR TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE

The Project Team is a highly engaged group of experts building operational excellence through: efficient high-quality process and controls; technology enablers; sustaining knowledge and capabilities.

Purpose of role:
Reporting into Solutions Directors, the Director Technical Architecture is responsible for ensuring that the solution strategy is implemented and fully optimised for deployments. Driving Operational Excellence through standardisation/simplification of systems and enabling continuous improvement across Europe. Focused on the design and deployment of technical environments (SAP plus supporting systems) and the primary integration points.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead Internal Technical teams and supporting 3rd parties (AMS and specialist providers)
  • Ownership of the design, deployment and support of technical environments (SAP S/4 HANA, FIORI, CAR, PO, BW4/HANA, Opentext, SOLMAN 7.2 and VDM/CM custom applications)
  • Lead identifying, implementing and maintaining all the software and hardware components.
  • Lead the Application Lifecycle Management for all Components ensuring a clearly communicated and managed upgrade path
  • Lead the configuration and support for infrastructure components
  • Lead the management of interfaces, conversions, forms, customizations, custom developed reports and all other enhancements - working closely with the process teams, maintaining documents specifications
  • Manage selection, deployment and testing of enabling technologies and tools
  • Manage overall testing design and standards for execution by programme or BAU teams
  • Develop and manage overall work plan for technical infrastructure activities; track and report progress
  • Accountable for the quality of all technical infrastructure deliverables
  • Determine the standards and processes required for the specifications for interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and custom developed reports
  • Lead the development of interfaces, conversions and necessary data mapping if required
  • Support Legacy system decommission
  • Work with and support process teams on all activities
  • Lead the creation of project deliverables and complete key deliverables in accordance with the project plan timeline
  • Ensure the SAP Landscape is designed for effective maintenance on an ongoing basis and drives business benefit
  • Manage escalations necessary to ensure solution integrity and efficiency, and ensure senior management is aware of significant issues or opportunities
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the SAP product set and its strategic direction
  • Ensure the solutions designed within the Strategy are successfully implemented and that the benefits associated with the different solutions are realised
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Key experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Amazon Web Services Solutions
  • Experience of large scale SAP implementations and transformation programmes
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the development team and to customers (Platform Ops etc.)
  • Performing system monitoring, verifying the availability and integrity of all Servers, systems and key processes
  • Designing and Setup of Disaster Recovery Procedures
  • Data Protection and Backup of Server Environments
  • Ability to communicate technical requirements and provide implementation guidance
  • Possess a solid understanding of AGILE development methodologies
  • Ability to understand, explain and present technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to senior management in a persuasive and convincing manner
  • Experience working for a multinational organisation and working with colleagues internationally and demonstrated mobility
  • Demonstrable service industry knowledge - ideally with focus on food service industry
  • Experience in a process-driven environment
  • Proven leader with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience managing teams; remote management
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
  • Skilled in building strong external and internal strategic relationships
  • Proficient in influencing overall business results while managing the risk profile of the business
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English language
