We are currently working with a Government Agency to support the recruitment of a People Partner (HR Business Partner) to support the Chief People Office deliver the people agenda where the post holder is responsible for building professional partnerships with the business and central HR functions to deliver a wide and diverse range of HR activities, to enhance the employee lifecycle experience.

The role requires significant input into the design of strategic objectives and to contribute to  the HR and OD strategies and practices to continually increase the organisational capability to deliver their mission. The successful People Partner (HR Business Partner) must embody the values of the organisatacion, acting as an ambassador who can engage, attract and retain the very best people.

  • Contribute towards the overall strategy and delivery by advising on people and organisational development challenges, supporting the people and culture agenda for the organisation
  • Serve as a first point of contact and trusted advisor handling information and requests for information from employees, working to resolve them in a proactive and positive manner
  • As a senior member of the People Team, role model and champion leadership integrity their organisational virtues
  • Support the execution of HR projects and activities relating to the overall employee experience of talent, from identification, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance reviews and career paths
  • Provide day to day HR support for the People team on projects and administration tasks, working closely with the various teams on design and integration of new initiatives, employee development, performance management and talent management
  • Support the organisation’s brand identity to appeal to everyone in the job market by reviewing their T&C’s, policies & procedures (including flexible working to ensure we are person centric approach), pay and benefits to ensure we are competitive with a clear branding message
  • Overseeing all disciplinary and grievance cases across the organisation with a view to supporting the managers so that there is consistency being people centric. Attempting to resolve issues early, using conflict resolution techniques where possible.

Qualifications:

  • Clear leadership skills and the ability to gain commitment, trust and support to deliver and build an inclusive and engaged community of colleagues
  • Apply drive and self-motivation to achieve an effective and professional meeting of the demands and delivery of managing multiple activities and projects 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and challenging change environment
  • Demonstrate strong communication and decision making skills to develop excellent relationships and networks, and to secure the confidence of senior stakeholders
  • Strong strategic and operational knowledge of best practice across the full people/HR/OD life cycle, including talent acquisition, progressive HR policies, procedures, legal frameworks and best practice
  • Strong team player – collaborative by nature and able to role model the organisational values and ways of working
  • Able to exhibit and promote excellent people leadership and management practices within the organisation, enabling people to develop and perform to their best
  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn, grow and develop 
  • Associate membership of CIPD preferred as a minimum.
