Head of Special School Transformation needed in Trowbridge £440.46 per dayPAYE - Reference: 445245

This role will involve:
  • Leading the closure of the 3 existing schools
  • Leading all consultation and engagement of headteachers, staff, governors, parents/carers, children and young people
  • Project manage the opening of a state of the art special school and centre of excellence, as well as a system of excellence across all special schools
  • Ensure post-16 provision is in place
  • Provide updates, support and advice for senior managers and elected Members throughout
  • Utilise project management tools and expertise to coordinate a virtual project team incorporating specialist teams and support services from across the client, as well as wider partners as appropriate, to ensure successful delivery of each stage of this complex programme of work.
  • Drive clear focus on financial budgets both direct and indirect throughout the programme of work and into the future.
  • Quickly develop a strong understanding of the current Wiltshire context and culture around specialist SEN provision and mainstream inclusion, including an understanding of related budgets and funding. Support a change in culture and thinking where required to ensure an innovative and aspirational approach to this area moving forward.
  • Be the client's expert on the developing national context around SEN provision and inclusion, inspection frameworks, legislation and financial landscape.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
