Meraki Talent are retained to appoint a permanent Finance Director based in the central belt of Scotland paying £80,000 - £100,000 base salary plus equity.

The Opportunity
This exceptional business has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade and built up a fantastic brand in the process. It has highly exciting plans for further expansion and to dramatically increase its already impressive market share which will now be supported due to recently receiving significant investment & backing.

The business will now embark on a journey to generate new income streams through product diversification, new sales & distribution channels, entering new markets and global expansion.

The Role
The Finance Director will take full ownership of the finance function and will contribution significantly to the brands commercial strategy. The individual must be comfortable with constant SMT, Board and Investor interaction.
An immediate requirement of the role will be the ability to provide high quality MI to the Board and Investors. Individuals with strong experience of utilsing systems and automation to achieve this would be of particular interest.

Due to the lean size of the existing finance function, its critical the successful individual is prepared to be hands-on for the first 18-24 months. However it's expected the Finance Director will then shape and add to the team creating a natural path for them to elevate to a potential CFO position.

Location
The business has two sites in Scotland. The Finance Director would be expected to be in the office at least 2 days a week based towards the west of the central belt of Scotland. The other site is an hour out with the central belt of Scotland with the individual expected to attend this site a couple of times a month. This in an employer more than happy to entertain hybrid and flexible working.

Candidate Profile
We are keen to engage with individuals that met the following criteria:

• Qualified Accountant with strong post qualification experience - ESSENTIAL
• Strong SMT/leadership exposure - ESSENTIAL
• FMCG or Food & Drink sector experience - ESSENTIAL
• SME, start-up or scale up experience - ESSENTIAL
• Experience of working for PE or VC backed businesses would be advantageous but not essential
